What is OUS Hub? How is it Better than Other Solutions?

OUS Hub is a Microsoft Outlook add-in that connects your Outlook inbox directly to your Odoo instance. Unlike most Outlook-Odoo add-ins on the market, OUS Hub works across multiple Odoo versions (v8 to v19+) and multiple Outlook clients - putting powerful Outlook-Odoo integration within reach for a much broader user base.

Without leaving Outlook, OUS Hub:

Background Info - Why Did We Build It?

OUS Hub is built by Odoo specialists Open User Systems. Our widely trusted older solution, Outlook Odoo Add-In, is sadly no longer supported by Microsoft’s incoming “New” Outlook; so we took the opportunity to create OUS Hub, which brings smooth Outlook-Odoo integration to a wider range of Outlook clients, Odoo environments, and practical use cases.

Who is the OUS Hub Beta Programme For?

In short, if you use both Outlook and Odoo, then we want to hear from you! 

This beta is open to both direct Odoo users/customers and to Odoo/Microsoft partner-resellers.

  • You use both Odoo and Outlook and just need them to talk to each other properly.
  • You practically live in your Outlook inbox and need customer/prospect interactions reflected in Odoo without manual updating.
  • You’re running an older version of Odoo and can’t justify the cost and disruption of a full upgrade just for the sake of Outlook integration.
  • You’re struggling with Outlook-Odoo plugins that only do a partial job or you’re using third party CRM or automation tools to clunkily bridge the gap.
  • You use any version of Odoo except Online (Standard) or One App Free which are incompatible with OUS Hub (see technical notes below).

After using the tool for 14 days, you’ll give feedback about your use of the tool through our survey link.

The aim of this beta is to collect as much practical feedback about OUS Hub as possible from real Odoo/Outlook users like you. Every question, every feature idea, every uncovered edge case - no matter how small - will all be used to mould the final product.

Our beta testers will receive priority support from our principal developer, Chris. He will be on hand to directly discuss setup, fixes, and potential features

A Few Technical Notes

OUS Hub has been internally tested here at Open User Systems, and is now entering external limited beta. We’re now inviting external testers to make it the best it can be upon launch.

Why is Odoo Online (Standard) not supported?

Because OUS Hub is an Outlook add-in, it relies on external Odoo API access. Unfortunately, Odoo’s Online (Standard) and One App Free versions do not permit API access, making them incompatible with OUS Hub. That’s Odoo’s call, not ours!

Does this replace the OUS Outlook Addin?

This is a completely separate solution to our existing Outlook Odoo Add-In, which is being phased out due to Classic Outlook retirement by Microsoft. OUS Hub has been completely re-engineered using years of feedback from 160+ individual Outlook Odoo Add-In users, to incorporate more intelligent functionality, a broader feature set and greater compatibility.
